THE SHADOW - Limited Edition of 5 Print

I graduated from the National University of Arts in Bucharest and I've been a member since 2010 of the "Union of the Artists from Romania" (painting department). My passion for art led me to experience colors, composition with elements of visual language, all in combination with various techniques. I choose to transpose my art in all its forms on different materials and textures using traditional and unconventional mediums. I experienced the techniques of engraving (dry point, mono type,linocuts,etchings,aquatinta) I built forms in traditional ceramics technique. I played with painting in watercolors on paper, I explored collage, oil painting and acrylic on canvas through different styles and I learned about the Christian spirituality and symbolic colors by painting icons on glass and wood. In my art I always try to transmit the thing that vibrates, and since we can't hear it and we can't touch it, but we can feel it through colors, so I'm trying to express the "emotion". I explore my inner world, my past, my thoughts, creating emotions hidden in compositions built with contrasts and wild colors. I created my paintings alike my diary pages (the main source of inspiration) and all of them contain autobiographical notes. I built the image using elements and forms, which belongs to my inner universe, different personal objects, varied spaces and situations, snatches of memories related to sequences that include symbols and self portraits. Each composition outlines a mood, the past with its memories, the present, my chaos and my feelings – the entire series of paintings being an anamnesis of the most significant moments I lived.
