Rachel Alice K , an artist shaped by the rhythm of two worlds — born in the vibrant heart of Kinshasa, and nurtured in the luminous corridors of Paris. My artistic journey led me to London, where I immersed myself in Combined Fine Art and Art History, exploring the interconnected landscapes of painting, sculpture, architecture, photography, and creative expression.

Artist Narrative
My photographic practice is an ongoing visual poem — a celebration of inheritance, identity, and Ubuntu. I call it An Artistic Odyssey through Diversity, Heritage as a Ubuntu.

At the core of this work lies a tribute to hand-me-downs — not as relics of necessity, but as legacies of love. In each portrait, women are cloaked in colour and memory; their garments are not mere fabrics but vessels of intergenerational story.
The textures, prints, and silhouettes they wear are rich with meaning — woven with threads that stretch from the fast-paced metropolises of the West to the starlit silence of rural Africa.

These are not second-hand clothes — they are first-class inheritances.

Final Year Show – Summer Exhibition
Surrey Post Office, UK
Curated and exhibited in a multidisciplinary group show transforming a non-traditional venue into a space for emerging artistic expression. The exhibition featured innovative works across painting, sculpture, and mixed media, spotlighting new talent and experimental practices.

Saatchi Agency – London Exhibition
Curated a dynamic international group exhibition featuring artists from 16 countries. The project fostered cultural exchange and dialogue through diverse visual languages and conceptual approaches.

In collaboration with Saatchi and Toyota, co-produced a site-specific installation at the National Film Theatre (NFT), London. The work merged contemporary art with brand storytelling, exploring the interplay between creative expression and corporate identity.
