The basis of my paintings is a stream of drawings in my sketchbooks (dairies) of which there are more than 700. The subjects I choose dictate the way the painting is executed. So if the subject is surreal I will use surreal methods, when the subject is more abstract or realistic I use those means. Although what is behind the painting can be complex, I try to make the painting as simple as possible, In the proces of painting I try to surprise myself and when I surprise myself hope to surprise the viewer.
