Sterling Edwards

Sterling Edwards is a contemporary watermedia master, author, teacher, and art juror who is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. He has been a resident of North Carolina since 1973. Sterling has been painting for over fifty years and, like many professional artists, has gone through the typical evolutionary change that comes with decades of experience and experimentation. He has worked in most mediums and styles of painting from photo-realism to abstract expressionism. Believing that there is balance in the middle he has settled upon his stylized and semi-abstract pieces of art as his signature style of painting.
Sterling has earned signature status in the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, (CSPWC), The Transparent Watercolor Society of America, (TWSA), the Whiskey Painters of America, WPA), and the National Watercolor Society, (NWS). His artwork has been featured in numerous books and magazines and he is often honored to judge national and international art competitions. In addition to creating works of art, Sterling is also a sought after international instructor and mentor. Many of Sterling's paintings are in private and corporate collections worldwide.
