Holly Mitchell

Holly is a British Canadian Artist living in Whistler BC, Canada.

Her practice centres on abstract painting and is inspired by the environment (on the unceded territories of the Lil'wat Nation and Squamish Nations that she lives on) along with her research on colour psychology. Creativity is deeply ingrained in her artistic practice and her research on colour psychology is used to create a beautiful visual effect that connects the audience to the landscape.

My creative process is always ongoing and developing. I find joy in the fluidity and unpredictability of my paintings. By adding pigment and water, moving it across the canvas and taking it away this process adds depth and emotional complexity to the finished work.
