Aubrey Hogan

I am a painter based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, working primarily in heavy-body acrylics. My paintings embrace the impasto style—every brushstroke visible, layered, and textured—inviting viewers not just to see the work but to feel it. Inspired by the traditions of French impressionism, I use thick strokes of color to tell stories that anchor us to deeper values of goodness, beauty, and truth.

Much of my work explores the relationship between humanity and the natural world. From vast national park landscapes to the imaginative “Alice” astronaut series, I create art that celebrates wonder, resilience, and transcendence. My studio is based in my home, but my work reaches collectors through gallery representation at Two Roots Gallery, art fairs across the country, and my growing community of collectors online.

Art, for me, is storytelling. Each painting carries a narrative—sometimes rooted in place, sometimes in imagination—that seeks to connect viewers to something larger than themselves.
