Robert Mee

Originally from the rugged Cornish coast of the United Kingdom, Robert now lives and works in the unspoiled Berry region of rural central France, just south of the Loire Valley, with the Dordogne Valley close by. This rich and varied landscape provides daily inspiration for his work, from quiet rivers and stone villages to historic market towns and coastal scenes.

A self-taught artist with over 20 years’ experience, Robert works primarily in watercolour and oils, creating atmospheric paintings that celebrate light, mood, and place. His work reflects a deep connection to traditional European landscapes and seascapes, often capturing timeless moments that feel both familiar and quietly evocative.

His paintings are held in private collections internationally. Each piece is intended to bring a sense of calm, nostalgia, and enduring beauty into the home.
