I have drawn since childhood, and throughout my studies and practice in Architecture & Design. Entirely self-taught, it was through drawing I learned to actively see the World. The detail and the whole, and the interconnections between everything in Life itself.

In the past I have exhibited drawings and paintings in numerous venues in the UK and sold to various private collectors globally. In recent years drawing has been a constant companion to my architectural projects and a meditative space that rebalances the whole of my work: a meditation in light, line and tone.

Drawing figures directly from life represents a visual interview with another. Describing and communicating the sensual experience of that particular human being in time and three-dimensional space but in two dimensions.

In the words of Michel Angelo:
