Candlestick drift tree of Venice. Sculpture

My name is Irina, I am the mother of a wonderful daughter, makeup artist and artist from Ukraine, the city of Nikolaev. I experimented a lot in art and interior decor. I took art classes in my city. Due to the ongoing events in Ukraine in 2022, she moved to live in Venice in Italy. The atmosphere of this city immersed me in art as much as possible. Upon arrival, I walked a lot on the Adriatic coast on the island of Lido. I was impressed by the variety and abundance of driftwood on these beaches. Getting rid of stress, I made decorative elements for Italian friends as a thank you for their help. Then I came up with the idea of ​​combining a drifting tree with painting, and I also wanted to portray the connection to Venice. In search of an idea, I saw a hint for my work in the clock tower of Torre dell'Orologio in San Marco. Indigo color, golden watch elements, sea water, azure, blue, and a bit of Venice mysticism is exactly what I wanted to see in my works. My collection is called " Age of Aquarius " . Because in them I express the birth of a new self and the transformation of humanity into which we have entered. Spirituality, superconsciousness are intertwined in my works, a drifting tree symbolizes Mother Nature, her close connection with us. We, like drifting branches, wandered in search of ourselves ... like a drift that got ashore, we found ourselves in a new era in which we will find ourselves in new interpretations, be reborn and transform anew, just like drifting snags, which in my works come to life and receive transformation.
