Irina Loktionova

My name is Irina. I live in the sunny city of Odessa. I love to paint nature and animals. I share my emotions in my work. My work is a story that I want to share with you. I am an open person for communication and always ready for a dialogue with you. First of all, my dialogue is my paintings. I really hope that our exchange of emotions will take place and you will receive a charge of positive emotions by having my paintings at your home.
My favorite materials are watercolors and oil paints. These materials are very different. Therefore, it all depends on my mood. Sometimes I want to draw light weightless watercolors, and sometimes I am very drawn to textured oil strokes. I also paint with oil pastels. For each idea, I select the material that I like.

I like to draw as much as I can remember. From childhood I go to my dream of being an artist. But my parents did not have the opportunity to give me an art education, so I’m self-taught. I learned a lot from books, I also attended artists' courses and master classes, but already in adulthood. Now I am still growing and developing as an artist.

I participated in several exhibitions in my city. But then I had some creative break. For a long time I did not draw, but was engaged in felted toys. After 8 years, I returned to painting again. Because I realized that I can’t live without it. All my exhibitions are still ahead. I plan to visit some of them this year.
