Robert Andrew Smyth

A graduate of Scotland's Glasgow School of Art, his work is concerned with altering and enhanced the observer’s interpretation of an image by awakening association. Classical, historical, and religious connotations are employed to deliberately provoke a broader consideration of meaning, so deepening the viewer’s overall engagement with the picture surface.

Numerous works by the artist are held in various private collections across Ireland, Spain, UK, France, Germany, and South Korea.
