Tiago Hacke

Born in Germany, 1985, but grew up in Cascais, west coast Portugal. I started painting graffiti with 14 years-old which sparked my interest in art practice. As my interest grew I started to paint on canvas, exploring figurative imagery with acrylics. I proceeded to study arts in the UK; BA degree in Fine Art Painting, at Manchester Metropolitan University, then in France, completing in 2011 a DNSAP masters degree at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (ENSBA). I ended up living in Paris for 6 years. I have exhibited my paintings in all these countries and few more, but when I turned 30 I decided to move back to my hometown in Portugal. To set up my atelier and continue my painting enquires. Here I expanded my art practice and developed skills as a mural-artist and started painting mural commissions which is currently my main professional occupation.
