Rajesh Bhowmik

I am Rajesh Bhowmik. I belong from a small hilly North eastern state of India. i did my MFA from Tripura University, Tripura and completed my M.Phil from Utkal University of Culture, Odisha. I grow up in a small town, Agartala. My state is full of greeneries. I grew up by viewing natural beauties and nature always attracts me. As i grew up in remote area, I have always an unknown fear of big cities clumsy cities, concrete buildings, chaos, rush, skyscrapers, so called modern lifestyles. My everyday experience, my struggle, my thinking, my area, greeneries, concrete buildings, city life reflects in my paintings through colour treatment, form, shape, chiaroscuro. My paintings are the outcome of my regular experiment with colour, space and form.
