Anita Ljung

Anita Ljung is a printmaker, painter and illustrator. After studying at the University Paris VII Vincennes, at CU Boulder and the university of Aix-en-Provence, she obtained a degree in Fine Arts. She worked in the production of advertising photos and then for the public relations of a press group.

The need to return to creative work took over. She left for Brazil where she stayed for about ten years and began painting large formats on canvas, then in watercolor, inventing a graphic bestiary with bold colors.

The energy, strength and vitality of Brazil, and the Scandinavian light and clarity of her childhood both feed her work, which is a permanent search for balance and precision, with great freedom in the use of color.

Back in Paris, she trained in print making and joined the Lilas Typography and Print Studio. The unexpected results specific to the techniques of woodcut and etching suit her adventurous spirit, always in search of new discoveries.
