Gordon Brown

Born in Ayrshire, Scotland in 1977.When he left art school, he followed his dream of working in 3D and was employed as a Senior Treehouse Designer. Creating bespoke retreats for the Treehouse Company, which is the largest company of its kind in the world. He resigning after 8 years to focus on his painting, and is urrently working out of his studio at the Wasps Studio's, Irvine.A few years after graduating and designing Treehouses, I got the urge to start painting again after a gap of over 5 years. The first few paintings I worked on where quite dark, lonely male subjects. However winning a trip around Thailand I was inspired by the ancient temples, culture and atmosphere of the country. On my return I re-evaluated my entire style of painting, choosing to loosen up and add the warmer colours I had seen in the temples I had visited. I also looked at the subject matter, aiming to in some way capture the spirit and peaceful nature of the people.
