John Hood

John was born in 1972 and has lived most of his life in Exeter.

John's artistic style, for want of a better definition, is 'photo-realistic expressionism'.

Inspirations include film maker Tim Burton and graphic novel artist Frank Miller.

Since 1998 John has been developing original content (in mixed media) for internet distribution. The ability to work cross-platform, and conceptualise, and apply that thinking to print, broadcast or interactive content is key to successful multimedia practitioners! It's about creating a consistent and articulate message that uses the strengths of each medium. And the internet is the ideal point-of-convergence to deliver rich and compelling content to an active global audience.

Studied A-Level Fine Art, Media Studies and GCSE Graphic Design and Photography at Exeter College.

John has a BA (Hons) in Media Production from the Media School of Bournemouth University. And was featured in the Alumni Association magazine, The Talbot (Summer 2004), a Media Careers special.,
