Kristina Stephenson

Kristina was born and raised in the picturesque coastal community of West Vancouver, British Columbia, where the dramatic natural surroundings stimulated her innate artisticabilities very early on. Pencil and paintbrush became extensions of her natural being, and this love for art and design carried her through to completion of her Bachelor of Applied Arts in Visual Communications, graduating from Ryerson University in 1988.

Turning art into commerce, Kristina has worked as a designer/art director for many high profile financial institutions and corporations for the past two decades and now runs her own design firm. She has continued to paint throughout her life and is now dedicating herself to her love of painting full-time.

Kristina paints in an engaging abstracted style, best described as atmospheric landscapes. She is influenced by the Impressionists of the past, putting her unique contemporary twist on otherwise traditional landscapes. Drawn to water and sky, these ever-changing elements of nature continue to capture Kristina’s attention.
