Eros and nostalgia Print

"Eros and Nostalgia" is not a singular work. It is a topic approached especially where there is a certain combination between the two elements, both in the plastic sense, composing the image with shapes, signs, structures, points, lines, surfaces, in an ideational one. The erotic elements play the more or less obvious role of balancing and compensating the strong, acute nostalgia that goes only to the past, to the memories, to the melancholy, to lack of hope and action in the present. The dearer the memories, the more they tend to keep you in their own world, as a volunteer prisoner. "Nostalgia means to put your hopes in the past". (I do not remember who the definition belongs to). Eros, on the other hand, is the strongest feeling (sensation) that pushes, naturally and concretely, towards life, towards the present and the future. This happens not only through the idea of procreation, of the perpetuation of life, of the species and of the "tribe", but also through the sensation of vitality and forcing the mental and physical tone
