“Surreal to Conceptual Photos, Block of Six, Montreal, Berlin, London, NYC” This piece comprises a block of six contiguous 26" x 40" framed Conceptual photoworks that digitally reconfigures the interiors of 35mm full-frame analog photos from my body of unmanipulated "Surreal Photos." These six are from the following series in that body: “Tiny Houses,” “Sinister Interiors,” “Eerie Locations,” and “Trapped Figures.” All my work communicates psychological states within quickly moving states of time and space. Negative space is as important as image, as it places the images in unexpected, even jarring, relationship to the physical space of the viewer. I shoot them all over the world, as I travel for the shows I am included in, and no matter where they are shot, my photo-imagery is more about my fairy-tale way of seeing things, than about any reality of the different locales.
