This artwork is one of the work in my collection "Inner Ecstasy." Created with sheer energy and spontaneity using new media - Digital. Inspired by tornados created by mother nature, this art reflects the motion of the wind and energy. Each stroke is rapidly rotating to create a movement similar to the debris flying and trees bending during the moving tornado. I decided to use the digital platform to get the effects needed to do this artwork.

Hemu Aggarwal’s work captivates the viewer with its visual beauty, harmony, vibrant colors, intense depth, and fluidity of motion. Her work intrigue, tells stories and creates a mood all at once. She creates paintings in Acrylic on wood or canvas. Lately, she has found new media, Digital. Most of her work is in the styles of Abstract or Subjective Expressionism—Artist’s statement: “It’s hard to explain why I paint or what inspires me. I have a thousand ideas in my head and am continually experimenting with different subjects, styles, and techniques. I long to explore so much more out there in the world. Sometimes I surprise myself when I can convert my imagination into two-dimensional art. My passion is creating various textures and then painting with Acrylic colors over the rough surfaces or experimenting with various tools and filters in digital technique”. Hemu began creating art at 15 when she met an art teacher in a new school. Here is how she summarizes her artistic journey: By education, training, and profession, she is a graphic designer with a Master’s Degree from New York University. She worked as a creative designer on Madison Avenue, NYC, for seven years and then established and ran her innovative design firm for over 25 years. Now, she has retired and has started her first love, Fine Art Painting., She did design and illustrations during her business, but that was different. There was always the pressure of tight deadlines. The focus was to please clients and to keep commercial appeal in mind. Now it is different. Commercial Work: She got a job in New York City with a design firm specializing in designing record albums. She became a senior designer and created many album covers of well-known artists like Tom Jones, Mantovani, Engelbert Humperdinck, Brotherhood of Man, Frijid Pink, one of the last records of the Beatles, and a single by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. This experience enabled me to start her own company, AQ Graphics Inc., in New York, and she continued in this line of work. She designed many Hip-Hop albums, including Grandmaster Flash and Furious Five’s “Message” album, The Sugar Hill Gang, Positive Force, Treacherous Three, and Quincy Jones. She also designed a series of Collector’s records of the 50s and 60s. A few famous artists include Dionne Warwick, Ritchie Valance, Dion, Del Shannon, and the Everly Brothers. She also worked extensively on the re-make of the entire Chess Records Catalog.
