Eakalak is a self-taught artist. He discovered and explored art at his young age. He studied art in university in Khon Kaen his home town. He also had a master degree in Philosophy. After graduation, his interest shifted to motion picture. He started to make short film in 2008. And received several awards. He continued to make films and some of his work were exhibited aboard. In 2014 the coup d’état happened in Thailand. This has led to violation of human right in the country. Eakalak decided to stop making film. His last film was “Boys are back in town” (2015) referring to the Junta’s rereign. “freedom of Expression is the most important thing in creating art. Without freedom in our society one cannot gain wisdom. Only through painting he still find his source of inspiration. “Painting is my sanctuary. I still can see the light in this darken moment.” he said.
