I approach abstraction as a dialogue between perception and surface. Early experiences shaped this philosophy — witnessing unexpected beauty within contradiction, and later understanding that texture can communicate beyond sight. Surface is not embellishment in my work; it is language. I begin with a limited palette, expanding it through value and temperature. As a painting develops, it begins to guide the next decision — placement, pressure, scale. The process becomes responsive rather than imposed. I do not paint to reproduce beauty. I construct surfaces where perception, contradiction, and physical sensation intersect — where beauty lives. My work is designed to absorb attention and shift perception, inviting viewers to discover their own narratives within fields of tension, texture, and balance.
