Aleksandr Korol is one of the most outstanding modern artists. He is a member of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists. Now he lives in the city of Kharkov/Ukraine. Alexander is constantly in the creative search for new means of expressiveness while relying on an academic base. He graduated Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts /Department - «Easel Painting»/.Here, Alexander learned the traditional academic manner of plein-air realism graduated the Portrait and Genre Workshop/. During the period of study he admired such artists as Mikhail Vrubel, Ilya Repin, Fyodor Zakharov, Filipp Malyavin, Nicolai Fechin, Claude Monet, Rembrandt and others. Some of them still influence him. Alexander works in an impressionistic, realistic manner of painting with elements of symbolism, because it most fully expresses his creative tasks, feelings, impressions and thoughts. He likes to travel, go to the plein-air to study the cultural historical features of these places, the originality of color, way of life and traditions, legends and customs. Alex skillfully combines realism and abstraction, using textures, volumes and semi-volumes. He likes to experiment with various painting techniques, with modern materials and technologies. Alexander is successfully engaged in monumental paintings, interior decoration, photography and design. His works can be found in private collections in North America, Western Europе, China, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine and Russia, also in galleries and exhibition halls of Ukraine and Russia.
