Born in Yerevan in 1995, Berta’s artist grand-parents were a shadow around the house she grew up. Her father was called to work in Tblisi, Georgia and moved the family when she was 5 years old. Growing up in the surrounding bohemian coming of age of the art world, she was influenced by the culture and the colors of that new city. She took up photography when they moved back to Armenia and started her exploration with this craft. She participated in numerous exhibitions and by 18 years of age she already had exhibited in about 8 exhibitions. In 2013, she studied architecture at The Armenian University of Architecture and Construction. Upon graduation, she concentrated more on her true passion through her camera lenses, exhibition in worldwide galleries and exhibitions. Nature played a big part in her exploration. She often found herself getting in a car and driving in the remote parts of Armenia and it’s landscapes, often up the mountains to capture their perfect personality with the dances of light. She is currently working on a project with the European Union for human rights and environmental awareness issues.
