Art Description

Photography: Digital, Color on Canvas, Other.

Watching whales their movements seem 'choreographed', breathing and surfacing in formation. These two whales are working together hunting a harbor seal. They work together and share their prey, their lives are entirely co-operative. Competitive and combative dynamics do not seem to exist in Orca whale culture.
The ovals and ovoids characterized in Kwak'wala art can be seen in the waters reflections.
