Lenny Carter

I am a Photographer and Freelance Photographic Retoucher living in London UK.

I have a long history in the Photographic Industry working in production, darkrooms and on the digital side or retouching, archiving and management.

I've spent more than 12 years working for International and small Photographic Libraries including Getty Images, Idols Publishing and Moviestore Collection Ltd where I became an advanced self taught retoucher using non-destructive and natural hi-end retouching techniques.

After wanting a SLR (no shoot & point for me!) for many years I finally brought a Pentax P30n when I was 20 (see bio pic) and mostly used B&W 35mm as I could process and print these from my basic, but functional darkroom but I did find that working in the industry for long hours my personal/professional photographic aspirations took a back seat in which I am now correcting!

I find that living in a large capital city means having the constant clamour of tourists and locals all year around brings forth the harsh realities of life so I guess I like to search out the quiet and peaceful spaces - to be able to view the world differently and to show my version to others.
