Lush, meaningful paintings, wall-sculptures, and manipulated scanned/photographic images.
Valerie Margolis' work is based in art-historical tradition, and a personal, as well as Judeo-Christian iconography. It deals primarily with the confluence of opposites; and addresses themes of boundaries, protection, conjunction and vestiges - with color, texture, rhythm and light. She has explored a range of imagery over the years - yet the work remains thematically cohesive.
