Zhenning Li

Li Zhenning is an artist from Beijing. He studied art in Academy of art and design,Tsinghui university from 2007 to 2010.

His works center on a certain period in history,which is put very implicitly.The identify and gender of the abstract figures and objects are intentionally muddled;with the flow and changes of colors, he has infused srories into the glass works,to prepare a response to the ancient civilization and raise a question for the current time : "Why am I here,and and for what ? " Such questions keep people exploring and thinking.

In his works, he used symbolic figures such as deities , animals, dances, and dragons. He draws on motifs from mythology, evoking the past. His works allow thw viewers's souls to rove from ebetyday life back to the past; they allow people to recall various aspects of human history. The sculptures are metaphorsfor the transformations, adaptatoons, and turbulences that people in our contemporary society go through. They mirror the challenge of keeping body and aoul in harmony while taking history into account, and remind of the continual struggle for survival.
