Hello, I'm Amelia Errázuriz, a Chilean visual artist living and working in Santiago, Chile. Sustainability in art is a field that is not sufficiently explored. That's why my work is focused on this, incorporating objects and techniques from outside the traditional art world. My art aims to raise questions without seeking answers; my intention is to provoke thoughts and reveal needs to people who are indifferent to the issue of sustainability. That's why forgotten materials are very important to me, as they constitute a true treasure and my way to protect the planet from excessive waste. My projects consist of many of these mini geometric fragments which, like pixels, create new geometric, abstract sculptures that appeal to the search for new meanings in the art world. They incorporate new media and aim to combine different elements while prioritizing environmental consciousness. I hope, as Walter Benjamin said, "living leaves traces," and I aspire for my traces to make visible what is unwanted, invisible, and forgotten, thereby supporting an environmentally conscious planet with zero waste.

SHORT DESCRIPTION MY WORK WHY DID I MAKE IT-WHAT WAS MY EMOTIONAL DRIVE BEHIND IT. By chance I stopped once at a framing shop and saw a big pile of descarded wooden frames. I decided to collect them and to give them a second life. These small pieces of wood embodies a big memory and many stories, besides its differents natures such as color, size, syles etc. I look for their uncertainties to create something different and unique, before being waste and long before being a found object and after becoming a work of art with a rich poetry component. SHORT TECHNICAL DESCRPTION OF TH WORK (method used, techniques, process involved) (100 words) The geometrical order that I build is created by a modular way as a pixel that shapes the new art work. This is a long, pacient and carefully way to assemble the fragments that creates a new and contemporary art work in a unique and distinctevely way .
