'Arrival' follows the previous 'Towards the light'. It portraits an entrance. The final destination, a place, a mindset that you have been visioning and working hard to finally own. A walking sculpture is now caught in the moment of passage through an open arch. A floating red room cube is left behind representing the past; its lessons and knowledge follow the sculpture's trace into the present and future. And in the gesture of crossing there she is radiating a blazing glare, not in the need of any other source of light. All witnessed by a series of eye balls in an arid and forsaken desert, clearly a reference to those that envied and belittled, the two now separated by a glass wall.

Thais Palma Bottiglieri is an Italian and Portuguese contemporary visual artist. Currently lives and works in Ireland after a long life of traveling around the world with the wish of finding what she would identify as Home. Art was always her only constant. An only friend. Initially inspired by her mother's passion for decor and design, Thais started her career painting mainly interiors. Four walls that kept her safe, comforted and loved when the outside world would often create a sense of disappointment. Eventually those walls had to be broken as she was expected to explore more than a mere love for beautiful pieces of design. Today her artistic process involves the portrait of her human feelings, dreams, fears, visions, moments witnessed. Most of them perhaps relatable to others. It is autobiographical. Moments lived and still to be lived. Past, present and future.
