time hole #2 Sculpture

In this work, the artist joined three marble slabs (Lasa marble & pink marble) with epoxy resin glue to form a single unit. The circular hole was then carved out with different tools. The steel sculpture consists of many individual wire pins, which were connected to each other by specific welding points and thus unite to form an abstracted human figure. This was drilled into the stone and glued. Thematically, the sculpture "time hole #2" deals with numerous myths and legends surrounding the caves of the Alps. It is reported that so-called time holes exist in some mountains, where time passes faster or slower than elsewhere. There are also reports of contacts with time travellers from a mirror world. The surface of the stone is sanded and left in its natural state. The steel sculpture has been sealed with matt clear varnish to prevent the steel from oxidising. Total weight: 40 kg
