CREATIVE PROCESS AND INSPIRATION

Manfred Hellweger questions the meaning and value of existence, the world and humanity.
His distinctive sculptures are mainly made of wood, metal and stone.
Hellweger uses simple shapes such as cubes, strips, boards, nails or shaped tubes. Using a variety of techniques, the individual parts are connected to create mostly figurative works that taper towards the base.

Through this process, Manfred Hellweger's sculptures evoke a sense of vertical dissolution, symbolizing the perpetual change of our time.
Everything changes and develops, nothing remains the same.

Each piece embodies Hellweger's credo, “less of everything rather than more”, reflecting a philosophy of simplicity and contentment that extends beyond art.

The Austrian sculptor Manfred Hellweger (*1986) lives and works in Pettneu am Arlberg and Nesselgarten near Fließ in Tyrol.
In 2004, Manfred graduated as a sculptor at the Technical School for Arts and Design in Elbigenalp (Tyrol).
Shortly afterwards, he became self-employed as a freelance artist and in 2013 additional graduated as a stone sculptor at the Technical School for Stone Processing in Laas (South Tyrol).

Hellweger has taken part in over 30 international sculpture symposia and numerous exhibitions at home and abroad.
His works are already represented by collectors all over the world, e.g. Japan, Singapore, USA, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Austria.
