Campania is a region of southern Italian ordinary statute of 5,855,299 inhabitants. Wedged between the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west and the southern Apennines in the east, the region is bordered to the north-west by Lazio, Molise to the north and east by the Puglia and Basilicata.
