This Artwork is part of an on-going series of collages in various styles and subject matters started in late 2017. This particular Collage is loosely inspired by a Cubist oil painting done in 1913 by Juan Gris, titled "La Guitare". I used a Canson blue coloured pastel paper, my own handmade acrylic painted papers, black marker, white pastel pencil, found illustrations of a harp and of a 1607 painting by Bruegel, titled (in French, where found) "La Dance de la Mariée en Plein Air", ---all pasted onto a thin 0.26 inch cardboard backing. The particular imagery conveyed by this assembly of coloured papers and photo illustrations, reminiscent of the Cubist artworks of the early 20th century by JUAN GRIS, is bound to attract the curious attention of any viewer. And once appropriately Matted and Framed (preferably under glass) for better preservation and presentation, by the Buyer, it will be suitable to hang anywhere, either by itself or among other artworks.
