Mixed Media Art. The hole piece is wet felted with Merino Wool fibers and silk fibers. A fabric hardener protects the piece from getting dirthy. Accents made with fabric and resin. You can email the artist for more information at ludwientje1@gmail.com Poppies are in many of my works, no wonder if you know my father told me all about what happens on Flanders Fields during WW1. He himself had been a soldier during WW2. As a child, I remember visiting a cemetery with my dad standing next to him feeling his sadness and his proud. Born as the son of a famer he had that special connection to the soil. He told me aboud Flanders Fields: "This Land is not merely soil; it is a fountain of energy flowing through plants, and animals." From him I learned the name of many plants and flowers and how to use them. He even thought me how to make marmalade from fresh poppies but that recipe is a bid of a secret.
