About The Artwork
Mount Fuji is famous for its symmetrical snow-capped peak; a sacred mountain and site for pilgrimages. In Japanese, Mt. Fuji is called Fujisan - the honorific for addressing people in Japan is to add a “san” to their name and as well as use san for mountain. Many regard Mondrian as the instigator of modern art with his bold black lines and geometric shapes. My series of collages are a homage to Mondrian and his famous distinctive style.
