This abstract guitar is built up from a collection of original vintage papers sourced from across the globe from flea markets, antique shops and ebay purchases. I like to liberate paper from dark storage places by re-purposing them into beautiful works of art. The price of liberation is that they must be cut, torn and pasted. This pie features paper from 1920's Italian magazine covers, sheet music, french posters, penguin books, maths text books and Spanish legal documents. Many of the papers may be between 60 and 100 years old.

I work in collage and assemblage media to create pictures drawn from life experience, memories and the occasional landscape. Inspire by Braque, Picasso, Gascoigne, Nevelson and Rauschenberg, I love exploring story telling through collections made from old paper, packaging, sheet music, old tools, matchboxes and assorted ephemera.
