About The Artwork

In the seamless transition from a digital canvas to a refined work of fine art, “State of Mind” emerges as a captivating exploration of modern culture and history. The focal point, a modern, stoic woman with penetrating eyes, becomes the centerpiece of a mosaic filled with hundreds of vintage mod backdrop images. This dynamic composition encapsulates the essence of the pop culcture, incorporating iconic moments and cultural snapshots into a visual tapestry that transcends time. Against a backdrop enriched with a silver leaf foundation, the addition of colorful oil paint accents imparts a vibrant energy to the artwork, elevating the visual experience. “State of Mind” stands not only as a celebration of a generation but also as a testament to the transformative power of merging digital precision with traditional artistry. The stoic gaze of the central figure invites viewers to delve into the nuanced narratives embedded within the mosaic, where history, culture, and artistic expression converge in a harmonious dance.

Jeffrey A. Stapleton was born in 1960 in the central farmland of Tipton, Indiana, an area renowned for its loud shouting, expansive fields of corn and beans and rampant exaggeration about tractors. He went to art school, but didn’t really pay attention and then got a job with a Dayton, Ohio art studio where he was famed for scribbling silly characters, drawing without looking and such. Probably. A chance meeting with a new design firm saw him cast in the role that turned into a career and the rest is history. Except for jet packs, which are the future. More to come I'm sure.
