About The Artwork

In the heart of a forgotten railway yard, a relic of a bygone era patiently waits for its moment in the spotlight. The old locomotive, its once gleaming body now weathered by the passage of time, stands resolute on a quiet siding, shrouded in an aura of nostalgia and anticipation. Surrounded by the whispering echoes of history, the locomotive seems frozen in time, a majestic reminder of the industrial revolution's power and innovation. Its aged exterior, worn by years of service, bears the marks of countless journeys across vast landscapes. The locomotive's moment may have passed, but it holds the promise of an encore performance, ready to transport the imaginations of those who glimpse it. Its sheer presence is a testament to the enduring fascination with the past and the power of memories to bridge the gap between generations. As it stands on the siding, the locomotive seems to whisper tales of adventures long past, of journeys into the unknown, and of the relentless spirit of progress. It awaits its turn to once again take center stage, a symbol of history's enduring influence on the present.

Valentyna Rybkina was born in 1977. After graduating from National University with a Master's in Politology and Sociology, she started to oil paint in 2013 as a self-taught artist influenced by great artists like Aivazovsky. She invites you to remember with her paintings the sunny and happy places you may have visited or plan to visit again, to see how beautiful nature is. She hopes you can look at the colors of her painting, enjoy them, relax, and forget about your problems. Life is good ;) She is especially interested in oil landscapes (ocean and seascape) and has always been passionate about flowers - these are the main thematic focus of all her works.
