Amla- The Pure One Drawing

I am a daughter of India. Fortunately a lucky daughter of India with comparatively a lot of freedom and support from the people around me. While exploring our mystical land I met people.. and I figured that most of the daughters in India arent that fortunate. Majority of India constitutes of villages and women who are kept inside behind closed doors.. whose birth itself brings sadness and not happiness to the father because it means that getting her married is a burden on their already meagre incomes. She is lucky if she survives her first few years.. and cheers to her if she dares to dream and follow it. This painting is inspired by the women of India for the women of India. For the beautiful Brown girl.
