It never rains in southern Copenhagen. The medival (g)old town is a perfect place to make drawings. I made this drawing on a summer evening between 19:45 and 20:30 (11 July 2019) when the sun was setting over the canal at Gl. Strand. It was a magnificient view with the sky turning yellow, and the canal turning orange. This is the Tour de France drawing (the Tour will start in Copenhagen in 2021), this is orange county, this is the golden metropol of Copenhagen. Previously, drawings from this location turned out to look like previous eastern European metropols, but this drawing actually look like Copenhagen, and it is Gl. Strand a favorite drawing location among many others in old medival city of Copenhagen. And it looks like an urban river!

I am a Danish hydrologist currently working as a principal investigator and researcher at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland at Øster Voldgade 10, 1350 in Copenhagen (working in close cooperation with Copenhagen University institute for geology and geography). I am known for my research in the field of hydrogeology, with a focus on groundwater resources and their management, as well as the impact of climate change on groundwater systems. I have published many papers in the international scientific journals, and I am also a member of several scientific organisations.
