About The Artwork
The paper used is Arches Cold Press Watercolor Paper. I used General's Carbon Sketch No. 595. Hanging hardware and frame is not available. I wanted to challenge myself since I just started practicing hyper-realism. I wanted a piece that would be at least 50% dark. I chose Darth Vader because he was the perfect candidate. Not only is he widely recognizable, but also the contrast from dark to bright areas was the challenge I was looking for. I want the viewer to feel the same feeling they felt when they first saw this character on the sliver screen.
