About The Artwork
El UNO is an original artwork, signed by the artist. Alcohol-based ink on 140lb cold press watercolor paper. It will arrive unframed. Custom framing options available. Using bold, energetic strokes and purposefully fluid ink, I've been exploring these abstract motifs since I was a child. While holding a word in mind as the backbone of the piece, I fuse graffiti tagging techniques with a loose interpretation of traditional Nihonga painting. The result is an eye-popping vibrant and frenetic final piece of abstract expressionism. All my work in general is an exploration of the underground or anonymous parts of me. I take great influence from the graffiti artists that came before me, street fashion, and the 90's hip-hop culture of my youth. Aiming to convey the chaotic nature of urban art, with a refined touch that only years of growth can refine, I and my work straddle two worlds. Commissions available upon request.
