This is one in a series of drawings originally inspired by Richard Serra’s monumental sculptures, which took a direction of its own. All that remains of the original inspiration is the brownish, rust-red color and the notion of pathways. The "figure" that made its way into this landscape had a look that spoke to me of guilt and denial. It is still a mystery as to why I get this notion.
