About The Artwork
A study in ink and watercolour on vegetable parchment of Singapore's Maxwell Food Court. Singapore's dominant culture is unquestionably a food culture, coffee-shops and hawkers have contributed largely to the formation and continuity of this culture. What was Maxwell Wet Market in 1935 is now, since 1986, a renown food centre. It's host to a wide range of authentic local dishes, such as chicken rice, and many famous hawkers.

Just popped out drawing. Drew all the way up to 6ft then drew some more. Heard the shots outside and saw the shells on the floor. Saw the standard in education slip and fall. Decided to hold up a belief, and set myself to press chalk to the board.
