Completely primed for a new world, this person doesn't really know what to think about it yet. Does he even agree with it or would it already be too late for criticism and input? Where should we go for that input? They must already know what this man thinks about it. When you look at this work, progress seems like some kind of trophy, but at the same time everything and everyone has never been so vulnerable! Everything may be different tomorrow, but in any case it can already be said that much, indeed very much, has been damaged beyond repair. This work must also make the transition period tangible for the viewer. The incompatibility between life as we all knew it and the aggressive arrogant coercive technocrats, who go door to door like dull Bible sellers, where it is of course not about the content but about selling as many Bibles as possible. We are threatened down to the mitochondrial level and we now have to reposition ourselves within that to keep it viable. Self-preservation is increasingly becoming an issue.

Born the 31 of July 1964, Stephan B. Reisig lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.Stephan B. Reisig (57) is a painter who has lately been drawing mostly with colored pencils on paper. Sometimes he uses mixed techniques like charcoal/pencil and acrylic paint on paper. The style can be described as realism with a certain aspect of alienation and depersonalization of the depicted individual which gives it an urban anonymity. In his newest series he wants to achieve to express the pureness of used materials and the pureness and directness of the depicted (human/ animal) forms trough painting. And drawing, straight on the canvas. But mostly on paper. http://www.behance.net/gallery/Illustrations-Stephan-B-Reisig/12728531 www.stephanreisig.com / www.lama-topart.nl/catalog_showdetail.asp?type_id=&cat_id=&artist_id=42&
