XXXora is delighted to announce that her new art exhibition The Silver Bo(x) is to be featured in the Independent On Sunday. XXXora will be exhibiting her new collection of paintings at the inaugural Silver Bo(x) exhibition, to be held at the Groucho Club in London on Friday 2nd May and will be exhibiting numerous art works from this collection at the Royal Academy of Arts in October 2014. The Silver Bo(x) is an art exhibition linked to an eponymous campaign to recognise in law for the first time in history Unisex human beings and to stop the barbaric genital mutilation of non consenting babies born with ambiguous sexual organs, calling a third (x) box for sex/gender. This exhibition includes works from XXXora's Timeout recommended series Androgynous Superstars and her Huffington Post covered paintings series, The Captured Hermaphrodite. XXXora will also exhibit for the first time at the Groucho Club her next giant painting The Captured Hermaphrodite (The Orange Tree). XXXora has recently been nominated in the Emerging Artist category at the Southwark Art Awards and at the Winter Pride Awards. XXXora is an emerging British born Unisex artist. Her debut collection of paintings and prints caused a stir in the art world, with TIMEOUT magazine baptising her as "fascinating", "deeply charismatic and utterly distinctive". Next came PAVLOV'S DOGS OF WAR, a major group exhibition commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the Iraq War. Conceived, curated and featuring XXXora this exhibition was filmed for a primetime documentary for Canal Cuatro. XXXora was nominated at the Southwark Art Awards for this exhibition. On Friday 11th October 2013 XXXora launched her new lifelong project, an ongoing series of paintings called THE CAPTURED HERMAPHRODITE at the Gernika Gallery near Bank in the heart of the City of London. This series seeks to document and depict each of the world's hermaphroditic species via surreal and optical illusion based self portraiture. Every year until death, XXXora will produce seven new paintings for this ongoing series, in what will become a lifetime project. This is the first collection of paintings including The Oak Tree, The Clownfish and The Pansy.
