Born in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Len. Mexico. In 1973.

Self-taught and with a facility for artistic creation, from very small feel a special interest in drawing and visual arts.

This bias over the years from a mere pastime or game, it becomes a vocation and an essential part of his life.

Noting paintings and drawings in which the human figure is reflected faithfully and works of artists like Boris Vallejo, Luis Royo, Oliva Deberdaris and pin-up's from the 50's.
These artists and their works arouse fascination with realism, and begin their experience on the drawing.
Equally self-taught him into the study of techniques, materials and art history.

Growing interest in the arts, began to be inspired by great masters such as Leonardo and Michelangelo.
Painters such as Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein.
And Mexicans: David Alfaro Siqueiros, Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo and Rivera Arturo.
The latter is one of his biggest influences.

His early works range from the surreal, the hyper-realism and pop art.

The pencil drawing, charcoal, acrylic paint and oil, are the techniques used in their works.

The human figure as its main theme.
Angelfish, omnipresent in their personal symbols.
That accompanies and protects its creator and scenario guides the viewer through the work.

The impressive three-dimensionality and stroke, are the main features that highlight the originality of the work of Carlos Alvarez.

He has participated in various group exhibitions and has two solo exhibitions.

He currently heads his atelier: Alderean Interiores.
Dedicated to the design and execution of murals, paintings, artistic finishes and details.

In parallel, the search continues in his artistic work. A ride to enrich their personal work.
