About The Artwork

Does the gin still cling when you scratch your skin? Gin soaked feathers, sewn together fed through an old mangle, the gin dragging down the feathers. Poison and addiction. Trying to squeeze out the poison that clings on strong. Peacock feathers hint at bad luck. An uncomfortable combination of glamorous and domestic objects juxtaposes the old and new life. Gin was linked to backstreet abortion, linking back to the line “Does your belly ache for baby?” Further description found at http://howareyoufoxglove.blogspot.co.uk/
