About The Artwork

“Mind the gap” is conceptually based on a found object. Its goal is not establishing authenticity and its rationality. The component of time, which permeates all aspects of social life and represents a basic part of every social phenomenon, is actively involved in its conception. Time, which besides its inherent value becomes a means of direct exchange of goods, begins to be perceived as something material. The positioning of the artwork in front of the gallery space becomes crucial in establishing a passage between work and free time. It enables each viewer to enter in two ways. He can register and accept the role of worker or he can enter without registering, becoming only a spectator.
